St John's Church

This is right across the street from the White House. Don't you just love the yellow? How spring-like. This church if perfect for illustrating one of the things I love about DC - the juxtaposition of old and new. This church is surrounded by buildings of more recent vintage.

There is just something about a shiny gold dome contrasted against a beautiful blue sky.

This picture shows the juxtaposition of old and new again. Nifty. I didn't go in the church but seeing all of those stained glass windows makes me wish I had. They must be fantastic.
