My DC - Week 11

On Wednesday, during lunch, I took a walk. A very long walk. I just had to see the Cherry Blossoms. It was so worth it.

Tomorrow the festival begins. As usual, we've got a bunch of stuff to do this weekend but we're going to do our best to go down and enjoy some of the festivities. I doubt that the paddle boats are on our to do list but Stinkerbelle really wants to ride in them.

It's rare for the blossoms to peak in time for the festival so we're really lucky this year.

I wish everyone could experience the cherry blossoms in person. It may be the perfect welcome for spring.

Lovely photos -- you and I were definitely on the same wavelength this week.

I probably should brave the tourists and go down to the Tidal Basin this year. It's been too long, and while the trees in my neighborhood are pretty, the monuments do add an air of majesty.
