Yesterday I got a panicked call from my husband. He called to tell me that he had bumped into a table in our living room while vaccuuming and my camera, which I love very much, had fallen on the floor. My macro lens (the most expensive lens in my collection) was attached to it at the time and he was sure that it was broken. Poor Bruce was very afraid of my reaction - not that I'm scary or anything.
Luckily this story has a happy ending. I got home and immediately checked out my camera. When I pulled off the lens cover shattered glass fell out but... it turns out that it was just the UV filter that I keep on the lens to protect it that broke. Not good but certainly not a tradgedy.
I went out right away and took the picture above just to make sure that the lens was still in working order. I think the result speaks for itself. Yay!
By the way, those are my lilacs. Spring is clearly very close.

What a welcome relief for you both. Spring is around the corner for you down South. Our lilacs will bloom in mid-May here.
I'm so glad about the lens! And that is one awesome photo!
