As I was leaving our house last weekend, a day after the snowstorm, I noticed 2 roses that were stubbornly clinging to life had been covered in ice. Naturally I had to stop the car and take a picture. Just as predictably my daughter groaned as I did so.
I still think it was worth stopping the car.

Poor little rose. The ice covering maybe good insulation for awhile.
That's beautiful. Definitely worth stopping the car. The groans from the kids are just a bonus!

Quite an evocative picture. Metaphor for lots of potential topics. I think I would actively seek child-groaning moments, just cuz.
