Sometimes I think that I'd like to be one of those gardeners who knows exactly what she planted and where. Other times I think that it's fortunate that I'm such a haphazard gardener because it turns Spring into a season of surprise.

Well, it's an Iris but that's probably not what you meant ;)
Definitely a bearded iris. The color? Maybe white. Time will tell.
