I’m going to MD S&W tomorrow. Woo Hoo! I’ve been looking forward to this ever since I first heard about it a few months ago. Now, as I spin through blogland I see so many people from near and far who are planning to be there and it’s freaking me out a little. I’m such a dork. I can’t wait to see everyone in person but I’d like to do it from the vantage point of one of the countless insects that I’m sure will be present. No, that’s not right – they squash bugs! Maybe I’d like to be a blade of grass or… a butterfly… yes, a butterfly. That’d be perfect! I could enjoy all of the joys of community without calling attention to myself. See! I am a hopeless geek.
Aside from battling my deep rooted dorkiness I have prepared for the festival in other, more productive ways. I have a budget for myself and if I get anywhere near exhausting it then I am truly off my rocker. My family and friends already think my fiber habit is out of control. Good thing I will have Felicia with me as the voice of reason. We will drive up bright and early tomorrow morning with cameras, cash, a cooler and a blanket. Can you tell I’m stoked?
Last night I finished the first of the Stinky Sox and OMG… the sacrifices we make for our families! I needed to try it on Stinkerbelle’s foot to make sure that it was time to start the toe and her foot reeked to high heaven! My dh took her to the bathroom to wash and powder the tootsies but sometimes there simply is no antidote. Know what I mean? Those feet will need to soak a nice long time before I go near them again. On a related note, she tests for her white belt in Tae Kwon Do tonight. Perhaps I ought to warn them ahead of time to stay clear of her feet. Hmmm....

I adore this year's logo for MD S&W!
Don't stress too much about the meeting of everyone, it'll be just fine and it'll be a blast to put real faces to blog names!
Have a blast!
LittleMan's feet stink really bad too. Have fun meeting everyone!
In America you have to take a test for your white belt? Here (in South Korea) the first test was for the yellow belt.
